A wonderful thing about Hallandale Beach, Florida is that it is not located on the Gulfstream. It is part of the Lee Roy Selig School District, which is located south of Satellite Beach, Florida, and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the north and the Intracoastal Waterway to the south. The area was once known as Treasure Island because it was a popular location for scuba divers but is now home to over forty dive shops, restaurants, and other establishments. One unique aspect of the area is that there is no smoking allowed on the beach. However, there are designated smoking areas within the park itself.
